Guide for Customer

Ubatuba, Granite

Granitex Corp. offers a wide range of granite countertop colors and styles. This gives our customers the ability to find the perfect contrasting or matching the cabinetry and overall style of the bath or kitchen, as well as allows it to blend in with the rest of the home.

Buying Tips

As you begin your journey shopping for your new granite countertops, you want to choose a color that will match your cabinetry and the surrounding area, or maybe you’ll want a contrast.

When choosing a thickness, thicker is more expensive but worth the investment. Choose the thickest slab possible, which is normally 3cm. Anything thinner is going to be more fragile and will need laminate edges and more support. All of this adds to the overall cost.

Check the slabs for hairline cracks and natural pits. While these can be a character, giving the stone a natural beauty and unique look, they can also make it more susceptible to further damage. This is especially true if you go with a thinner slab of granite. Do not hesitate to ask about any imperfections you notice and how they will affect the stone.

Ordering Tips

Granitex Corp offers a quick turnaround for this industry. There are busier times than others which can affect your lead time. Make sure you are up-to-date with the timeline of when you’ll be ready for your granite countertop install and order in time to allow for fabrication and delivery. Ask about customizing edges and seamless countertops. These two things will make your new granite countertops more expensive, but in the end, you’ll be happier.

Installation Of Your Granite Countertops

The Granitex Corp team will do everything we can to meet your requested install date. We will advise you what needs to be done on your part prior to the installation so that the install goes quickly and smoothly. The average sized bath or kitchen can take up to two - four hours for install, however, any special angles or turns can add to that time. In the best interest of a successful install, we recommend not scheduling any other work at the same time of your granite countertop installation.

Payment Method

Granitex Corp requires full amount quoted to be paid at the time you place your granite countertop order. This is payable by cash or check.

Taking Care Of Your Granite Countertops

Granite is a natural stone and will be one of the most durable and timeless pieces in your home. It is an investment that will never expire. Granitex Corp applies a sealant to each slab of granite upon receipt. We then apply another sealant after we have installed your granite countertop.

For day-to-day care, you only need a soft rag, warm water, and gentle soap. Never use any product that may contain harsh chemicals such as bleach and do not use vinegar for cleaning. These will deteriorate the sealant we’ve applied and begin to wear the granite down. Never use scouring pad either, they will scratch the sealant surface and damage the granite.

We do recommend reapplying a sealant every twelve months. You can do this yourself or give us a call at Granitex Corp. While your granite countertops are durable, reapplying the sealant will ensure longevity.
